I’ve been listening to a lot of feedback in regards to my portfolio of late. Some good, some bad, some in the middle. I designed and built the site to be a meeting of worlds between my java work and my web work and I think I accomplished that. However, I never considered the implications of that design choice. Some have expressed a lack of direction – do you want to be a web developer or a software engineer? Are you a full-stack java dev?
In order to unify my approach, I will do a full UX teardown of the current portfolio site from an outsider’s perspective. From that, I will wireframe and build a new and improved portfolio.
I am telling all of you this because I plan to do it all through the blog. I want a living record of the process, as well as a display of how I approach the build process. I welcome feedback, support, and critique along the way.
Let’s get started.
